Law Is Tapped to Lead New York State PBA

Ryan Law, a State University of New York at New Paltz Police Officer, has been elected by the Police Benevolent Association of New York State board to lead the 1,200-member union.

Officer Law, 40, is a 10-year SUNY-New Paltz Police Officer who been active in the PBA since 2009, most recently as a union director. Prior to becoming a Police Officer, he served as a Corrections Officer at the Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Ulster County from 2005 to 2009. He also served in the United States Army from 1998–2001, stationed at Fort Drum outside Watertown and, for a time, in Bosnia.
