Coinciding with Labor Day, the office of City Comptroller Brad Lander updated its Employer Wall of Shame to list 10 companies that were among the most egregious violators of workers’ rights in 2024.
It includes massive employers like Amazon, which has had 180 unfair labor practice charges across 68 cases filed against it between 2020 and 2024 according to the comptroller, and smaller, local firms like Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, which owes the most in unpaid wages to NYC workers, according to the state Department of Labor.
