The city’s Fire Prevention Inspectors have two major issues with the de Blasio administration: their pay is too low and they aren’t allowed to take a promotion exam that eases the path to Firefighter jobs.
The FPIs are represented by Local 2507 of District Council 37, whose biggest membership group, Emergency Medical Technicians, has the same gripe about the huge gap between their salaries and those of firefighters.
