Some of Michael Grimm’s Republican colleagues in Congress said that his thuggish behavior in threatening to throw a NY 1 reporter “off this f------ balcony” if he ever asked him another unwanted question by itself would not be enough to cost him his seat representing Staten Island and a small piece of Brooklyn.
Pete King of Long Island, referring to the ongoing investigation involving Mr. Grimm’s campaign fund-raising that was the subject of Michael Scotto’s question that unhinged him, told the New York Times, “If he’s cleared, then he’s fine.”
