A federal appeals court has upheld a settlement outlining how the NYPD should police protests, rejecting the city’s largest police union’s challenge to the agreement.
Although the Police Benevolent Association argued in their appeal that the reforms outlined in the settlement could jeopardize officer safety, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last week that the PBA’s claims were “without merit.”
