Crossed signals

Posted

To the editor:

So let me understand this. I, someone who oversaw and conducted the rigorous process involved in traffic signal studies, points out to an op-ed columnist that he is wrong about how traffic signals are approved and he responds by casting doubt upon the process he was unaware of (“Data as divinity, drivel or in between?” The Chief, June 14). What can I say?

I’ll make it short. Real “grownups” know when to admit they are wrong and simply say — I stand corrected.
