To the editor:
With bunker buster bombs
Dropping from the Iranian skies
Trump lost his big beautiful chance
For the Nobel Peace Prize!
Trump’s ceasefire promise
Between Israel and Iran
Has little chance to succeed
Without a long-term plan
With Netanyahu in his ear
And Dennis Miller in his brain
There’s very little room
For any thinking to remain
Will Iran agree to peace?
Only if they have no choice
But will Bibi agree to peace?
It’s not something he enjoys
Trump personally thanked God
For success in bombing Iran
He says he is God’s messenger
A message receptive to his cult-klan

Regarding the usual pessimism in your letters, I have some key facts to add that you conveniently omit.
On Tuesday evening, Trump’s envoy Witkoff said the president is now looking to land “a comprehensive peace agreement that goes beyond even the ceasefire.”
“We’re already talking to each other, not just directly, but also through interlocutors,” Witkoff stated that they are already engaged in conversations, not just directly, but also through intermediaries. “I believe these conversations are promising,” Witkoff added.
__How did Trump talk about God in the address about Iran strikes?
Trump signed off his address by thanking everyone.
"And in particular, God, I want to just say, we love you God, and we love our great military," Trump said. "Protect them. God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel, and God bless America. Thank you very much. Thank you."

I am sorry to say that Trump is not a religious man. It's just a front. If he was the least bit religious, he wouldn't lie so much.

My last post about President Trump was factual and pertinent to comprehending the human being of Trump. His words were moving and demonstrated no malice towards anyone. It is a testament to his humanity.

J. Donne - Would that be the same Witkoff who told Fox in mid-April that talks with Putin regarding Ukraine were "compelling" and that a peace deal was "emerging" and that Putin wants "permanent peace"?

Evoking God in the context of raining down death and destruction only demonstrates the depth of Trump's moral depravity.

Trump has no humanity and empathy. He is heartless. And he is not religious. It's just a guise.

In reality, Trump is trusted to protect the U.S. Iran, the bully of the East, has been killing countless Americans for decades. Iran’s declaration of death to the U.S. is not an offer of peaceful coexistence. Iran with an atomic bomb is akin to Hitler with an atomic bomb. The entire Middle East would be in peril. President Trump did what other presidents wanted to do but lacked the fortitude to do. The world is a safer place today than it was before Trump bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities into oblivion.
When confronted with an irrational, hateful, and resolute Iranian leadership, Trump had no choice but to take action. Peace through strength has proven to be more than just a concept; it has become a tangible reality.
Neville Chamberlain's policy of appeasement involved making concessions to Adolf Hitler in hopes of avoiding war, most notably through the Munich Agreement, which allowed Germany to annex the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia. This approach is now widely criticized as it failed to prevent World War II, as Hitler continued his aggressive expansion. Trump is determined not to follow in the footsteps of Neville Chamberlain.
