A former city correction officer conspired to smuggle narcotics, chicken wings and other contraband into a Rikers Island jail in exchange for cash payments from inmates, federal authorities said.
Ghislaine Barrientos, 37, of Mount Vernon, was arrested Wednesday, charged with one count of conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and one count of false statements.
