The city is accepting applications for environmental police officers through Dec. 23, for multiple-choice testing scheduled to begin Feb. 26.
The minimum annual salary is $52,333 for the first 26 weeks, increasing to $60,038 after that. Incumbents at Assignment Level I will receive salary increments reaching $80,391 after 6-½ years. In addition, officers receive annual uniform allowances, longevity pay and contributions by the city to welfare fund and city-paid health insurance.
