The plague of shootings that have roiled some city neighborhoods since shortly after the start of the pandemic just over two years ago is showing no sign of abating, according to the latest police statistics.
They now include Tuesday morning’s mass incident in a Brooklyn subway station during which at least eight people were shot, with several in critical condition. A single suspect was still being sought as of early Wednesday afternoon.
