To the Editor: I was pleased to see that Mayor Adams has decided to stop playing games with unvaccinated City workers by sending out letters to roughly 4,000 of them stating that they either get their first shot by Feb. 11 or face firing.
Forget the public-health aspects of such a move; as an employer faced with the dual burdens of costly health care and absenteeism, the city has an obligation to control both via preventive-care measures.
