Amazon cancelled its contract with a delivery service partner that employed 105 drivers at a distribution center in Maspeth, Queens last month, effectively firing the workers who unionized with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters last year.
At a Monday morning rally to protest the cuts, workers said that they were told their jobs had been eliminated at the end of a long, rainy shift on Aug. 20.
