Eric Chee, a 63-year-old man who grew up in China, remembers the vicarious terror he felt watching news coverage of the planes crashing into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
“It was nighttime in Shanghai, my second child was just born, and I was putting her to bed. My wife called me and told me to put on the news," he said. "I felt scared.”
