To the editor:

J.D. Vance could write a real best seller that could make for an interesting movie, that is, “The Hillbilly Hypocrite.”

Some of the things that Vance has said about Donald Trump before he joined the Trump Cult:   “I’m a Never Trump guy,” and “I never liked him (Trump),” (Charlie Rose, 2016).

“My god what an idiot,” (an October, 2016, tweet). In other tweets, Vance called Trump “noxious” and “reprehensible.”

Vance also wrote that he went “back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon … or he’s America’s Hitler.”

Around the time of the “Access Hollywood” tape, Vance liked posts accusing Trump of "serious sexual assault.” He said “Trump is cultural heroin.  He makes some feel better for a bit.  But he cannot fix what ails them, and one day they’ll realize it.”

The now-VP candidate also called Trump “one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs.”

How could the man who said all these harsh criticisms of Trump now praise him as the salvation for the American working man? This Yale Law School graduate and author said he was fooled by the criticism of Trump in the media.

Of course, he wasn’t fooled by the media; he joined the Trump cult because it profited him politically.

Hypocrisy is a virtue in Trump World. There is no such thing as shame for anything they say or do, as long as it helps them win. Losing is the only evil for Trump cult followers.

Excellent except for one thing. Comparing Trump to Nixon is an insult to Nixon. Nixon was a Jekyll and Hyde president. Trump is simply Hyde.

Let's see how J.D. wriggles out of his comments about divorcees "changing partners like underwear" when he stands next to the twice divorced man he is running with.
