To the Editor: Sigmund Freud's concept of "projection" describes a psychological defense mechanism where a person denies in themselves qualities that they're guilty of and attributes them to others who criticize them.
Donald Trump has regularly projected his flaws, personality traits, failures and anti-American beliefs onto others. When he accuses them, it's often a good look into his subconscious.
