To the Editor: Attorney General William Barr and President Trump’s media attorney, Rudolph Giuliani, are giving the public a terrible picture of attorneys, and making attorneys look like they have a license to protect liars (President Trump and some of his political supporters), and promote the lies of their clients.
The truth is that in every state in the nation, an attorney who knowingly or intentionally promotes the lies of a client—if proven—can and should be disbarred. He or she should be prevented from practicing law either temporary or permanently.
