Police Commissioner William J. Bratton last week named two top deputies, including one who was fired from the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office with two controversial cases offered as possible explanations.
Kevin Scott Richardson, who headed the Political Corruption Investigations Unit as an Executive Assistant District Attorney under former DA Charles J. Hynes, will be Deputy Commissioner for the Department Advocate’s Office, in charge of administrative prosecutions at the NYPD.
