JAMES LEMONDA: Remains at union’s helm.

James “Jake” Lemonda has been unanimously elected to his sixth one-year term as president of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association, the union announced Sept. 3.

Also unanimously elected for the term that began Sept. 1 were George Fariñacci as vice president, Jim McCarthy as treasurer, Rich Bienenstein as recording secretary, Chris Jensen as financial secretary, Kevin Judson as sergeant-at-arms, and Jack Kielty, Liam Guilfoyle and Paul Mannix as pension trustees.

Rank-and-file officers elect officers to the UFOA board; the board members then vote for individual offices such as president.
