Public Health Nurses who work for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene held a rally June 29 at the steps of City Hall to highlight the fact that nurses employed by the Department of Education make $12,000 more than they do.
A school nurse who works for the DOHMH earns an average salary of $54,572, in comparison to the $66,625 DOE nurses are paid.
