The Borough of Manhattan Community College was named a top-10 finalist for the prestigious 2021 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, an honor that comes at a critical time for higher-learning institutions across the country, its Interim President noted.
The Aspen Institute, a global nonprofit think-tank, reviewed the more-than 1,000 community colleges across the country to determine the top 150. It then announced the top 10 June 9. The winner of the $1-million prize will be announced next May in Washington, D.C.
