In January, the Board of Correction issued a report that revealed significant deficiencies and disparities in the reporting and recording of serious injuries to inmates in city jails by the Department of Correction and the correctional health-care system.
The 29-page report included recommendations intended to both prevent the injuries and more accurately document and report them.
