The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is accepting applications through Aug. 15 for the position of Police Officer. If you are selected by lottery to take the test, the application fee is $40.
MTA Police Officers start at $41,000 per year, which rises in increments to $99,368 after seven years of service. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, health insurance and sick leave, a defined-benefit pension plan and a deferred-compensation plan. Officers with prior police service may be able to transfer pension credits.
