To the Editor: Correction Commissioner Vincent Schiraldi has been at the helm since June 1, but crime and chaos continue to dominate the jails and overwhelm correction officers. Yet, there is no novel plan of action or renewed commitment to combat this gush of antisocial behavior by inmates.
After every felony, it's just business as usual, and the plight of correction officers remains ignored.
