To the Editor: According to the NY Post, on July 14, a Correction Captain was covered in feces after being hit in the face and torso by an inmate who had previously attacked Department of Correction staff with feces several times.
It is said by those who have suffered the same fate that they cannot swallow their own saliva for weeks after the assault. Correction officers are routinely attacked with urine, blood, saliva, feces, water, sour milk, semen or a combination thereof.
