Three unions that often take sides in thorny fights over housing, hotel and office developments have noted their opposition to a trio of city ballot initiatives that their proponents say would make it easier to build housing in the city.
Leadership of the Hotel Trades and Gaming Council, Local 32BJ of the Service Employees International Union and the District Council of Carpenters joined City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, Majority Leader Amanda Farias and other Council members at a Lower Manhattan rally Tuesday to denounce the ballot measures advanced by a charter revision commission convened earlier this year by Mayor Eric Adams.
