To the editor:
Trump’s latest gaffe: Confusing Alaska’s ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge) with Afghanistan’s Bagram (a military base). Trump said he got so much money from energy (oil) from Bagram in Alaska, possibly more than Saudi Arabia, and then they (the Democrats) terminated it the first week. “Check that one out. Google it.”
It’s very easy to check out confused nonsense, and most of what Trump says are lies, nonsense — mostly nonsensical lies. The lies about Haitian immigrants eating people’s pets in Springfield, Ohio, is an intentional lie by Trump and J. D. Vance focused on 15,000 people, and which are causing threats and attacks on hardworking immigrants who are legally here.
No matter how hard his sycophants try to prop up Trump and translate his demented pronouncements into rational ideas, it’s obvious that Trump’s mental ability is diminishing quickly. He’s getting desperate, and is grasping at any crazy idea that he thinks will damage his Democratic adversaries.
Without Trump’s followers and his cowardly, obsequious supporters in Congress and in the courts, he would be laughed out of political existence. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are really giving us the news (albeit in a comical way) about Trump, while much of the media are providing him with undeserved credibility. Trump is a psychopath and a traitor who has no moral compass; he is an imminent threat to democracy and world peace.
