Five current and former Metropolitan Transportation Agency supervisors have been charged by Federal prosecutors with receiving more than $1 million in fraudulent overtime payments in 2018.
Thomas Caputo, Joseph Ruzzo, John Nugent, Joseph Balestra and Michael Gundersen were each charged in the Southern District of New York Dec. 3 with a single count of Federal program fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
