The city Board of Elections was taking its first crack at ranked-choice voting beyond a couple of low-turnout special elections for City Council seats. Christopher Hughes, whose Ranked Choice Voting Resources Center created the software it was using, told The New York Times that he had offered to have someone look on to assist with any kinks that cropped up.
