Survey: Fewer union members bad for workers, country

Majorities of Americans consider the decade-long decline in union representation for U.S. workers a bad development, according results of a Pew Research Survey conducted earlier this month.

According to the survey, 56 percent of respondents said large reductions in the percentage of workers represented by unions has been “somewhat” or “very” bad for the country. Fully 60 percent said the development has been bad for workers.
