Staffers at Local 32BJ of the Service Employees International Union are seeking to unionize with the NewsGuild, following in the footsteps of staff at the union’s health care local, Local 1199.
The largest property services union in the United States, Local 32BJ represents 180,000 members on the East Coast and around 250 organizers, data analysts, researchers, field representatives, policy analysts and communications staff want a union contract of their own.
