The union representing CUNY faculty and staff last month became the third public-sector union to pass a resolution calling on members’ pensions to be divested from Israeli companies, bonds and securities.
The 30,000-member Professional Staff Congress is the largest city union to call for divestment, and follows in the footsteps of the Association of Legislative Employees and Local 3005 of District Council 37, whose members passed similar divestment resolutions last year.
