To the Editor: I was intrigued by two stories I read in the past week or so. The first was about the migration of Americans from "Blue" to "Red" states due to higher taxes. This is something that conservatives love to talk about, and many GOP leaders did just that when the report came out.
The second story received far less mention among politicians, particularly those in the GOP. It involved life- expectancy rankings and guess what? The bottom of the list was decidedly "Red," while the top was equally lopsided in the "Blue" direction. The 10 states with the highest life expectancy were all "Blue," and the bottom 10 were all "Red."
