Others' Mistakes Never Registered With Cuomo

When he secured his third term as Governor in November 2018, it seemed like a ripe time for Andrew Cuomo to take stock.

Though he had defeated Republican challenger Marc Molinaro by nearly 23 points, it was not the kind of blowout that might have been expected for a Democrat in a state where the party had a better than 2-to-1 registration edge and Mr. Cuomo enjoyed huge advantages in campaign funds and name recognition.
