MTA's economic engine risks stalling following Trump 'review'

Report notes nationwide reach of authority's spending

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is sometimes described as New York City’s economic engine. 

But a new analysis by the watchdog group Reinvent Albany underscores how much the MTA’s $20 billion operating budget and $68 billion capital program also power economies across the country and create jobs in red, blue and purple states alike.
