During a U.S. Senate hearing on the Postal Service Aug. 21, it developed that President Trump had two fewer allies in the room than he might have expected on his claim that increased voting by mail in the November elections would produce fraudulent activities that would skew the outcome against him.

One of those not parroting the President's evidence-free assertion was Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who noted that in his home state of Kentucky, June primaries featured far more mail voting than usual and nothing was amiss.
