To the editor:
I agree with almost everything Celestino Monclova says about Donald Trump ("Nation's Pocket Picked," Letters, The Chief, Nov. 15). However…
I'd advise anyone disappointed with the election to go to YouTube, find the channel "Sabby Sabs," and watch "10 Reasons Why Kamala Lost." It is a brilliant analysis of the election.
The main reasons cited: no primary, celebrity overload, no focus on the economy or illegal immigration, no renouncement of Israel bombing innocents in Gaza, and former President Obama attempting to shame Black voters into voting for Harris. Bottom line: Trump represented change to angry, anxious people. The YouTuber is particularly brilliant with the demographics.
Three points I disagree with Mr. Monclova on. First, we cannot possibly know what kind of Harris would have been. Second, Trump did not give the lunatics that stormed the Capitol the "freedom" to do so. Ask the hundreds in jail cells awaiting trial or already convicted how free they are. Third, while I personally would not pay a penny for any candidate's merchandise, to them it is not a waste of money.
