To the Editor: Health care continues to become more expensive and less available to working Americans. As health-care costs rise and access diminishes, we need to spread the word about two current events affecting working New Yorkers.
First, the Municipal Labor Committee of New York City recently agreed with the city to transfer the health care of city retirees from Medicare to a Medicare Advantage program; that is, to privatize their insurance.
