Color them giddy. In an apparent first for their industry, workers at Image Comics in Portland have voted to unionize. The workers at the West Cost shop, a comic-book and graphic-novel publisher, will be affiliated with the Communications Workers of America following a 7-2 vote in favor.
A statement from the union, Comic Book Workers United, said the vote represented a first for comics.
