After weathering the barrage of campaign ads that accompanied the special election in my home district (New York’s 19th Congressional), it is obvious what the GOP wants to focus on — crime. I say that is great news. By any measure, crime rates are highest in GOP-controlled states and lowest in Democrat-controlled states. Yes, you read that right.
