To the Editor: There was a time in the United States when anyone siding with communists was ostracized and looked upon as a traitor by virtually all Americans.
Not only is Donald Trump praising and applauding Russian strongman Vladimir Putin, who threatened to use nuclear weapons as a result of the NATO response to the Ukraine invasion by Russia, he is also vehemently opposed to President Joe Biden and the long established American political philosophy against communism.
