Hoping to overcome a final sticking point in contract talks that could have far-reaching implications for booksellers in New York City, Barnes & Noble Union employees and others rallied for improved wages Thursday outside the retailer’s flagship store and corporate headquarters in Union Square.
Armed with a megaphone and stacks of flyers for customers entering the store, workers were joined by booksellers from shops like McNally Jackson Books and The Strand, as well as representatives from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) and other union allies.
