An FDNY radio mechanic who says he has been sexually assaulted, bullied and otherwise harassed and also frustrated by the failure of fire officials to follow up on his claims intends to sue the department and the city.
Ruben Estevez, a member of DC 37 Local 1087, has faced harassment and bullying from his supervisor, Manny Roman, who also happens to be Local 1087’s vice president, since 2012, according to a notice of claim filed in March on behalf of Estevez.
