The bill would prevent employers in the Golden State from not hiring prospective candidates who use cannabis or who have a positive pot test. It would also prohibit workers from being fired for using marijuana during off hours.
The Assembly Labor and Employment Committee were expected to discuss the proposed legislation on April 20, a day associated with cannabis use.
