To the editor:
According to the Associated Press, the highly effective “Spider’s Web” drone attack that destroyed dozens of Russian aircraft, including multimillion dollar Russian bombers, was personally supervised by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Besides the success of the drone attack, it was extremely economical. Drones costing a few hundred dollars each destroyed many Russian long range bombers worth billions of dollars. Zelenskyy bested Putin and made Putin look like a shocked amateur.
While this operation by Ukraine took a year and a half to plan, it is uncertain whether there could be more drones in place in Russia that could be activated at any time. According to military experts, this drone operation may have changed the future of war.
It’s clear that similar long-range strikes are now available to every nation as long as they have the motive, the know-how and a relatively small amount of money for the drones.
Bravo to Zelenskyy for his courage and brilliant strategy to protect Ukraine's independence and the Ukrainian people.

Hopefully, Russia doesn’t resort to high-tech warfare in response, escalating the conflict beyond its current boundaries and potentially leading humanity to its demise.

Drones are the future of warfare. Troops don't get killed and the drones can be operated from afar.
