To the Editor: Mayor Adams has a number of strengths. These include: a genuine concern about improving the lives of black and borwn people in under-served communities; ensuring public safety in the city by removing guns from the streets (although his "Blueprint To End Gun Violence" includes both increased police intervention and prevention programs that might contradict each other); a commitment to a diverse administration that reflects the city; and an abundance of energy.
Unfortunately, Adams throughout his career has been a disingenuous politician. He has repeatedly pushed the boundaries of campaign-contribution and ethics laws.
