The Cheif , RIchard Khavkine , To whom it may concern : I would like to say Thank you very much on reporting on this . My name is Alan Grande . I was a sept 11th first responder / plumber . With New York City Transit Authority in the aftermath of Sept 11th . I was above and below the site . I served with thousands of heroes in the aftermath . NYC Transit had 2 miles of trucks going into the site on Sept 13th . I was on the Vaccumm Truck deployed to City Hall . The other one went to the stock market . That is a high powered vehicle for the plumbers for water main brakes and many other issues . I was the person going into the vents at City Hall , Brooklyn bridge . Clearing them out . Looking for pathological waste . Cleaning out . Clearing the drains . Carpenter s placing wood on the vents Temporary . We did this around the site . NYC transit had a pumping train pumping water out in the 1/9 tunnels . We were watching for water as far back as canal street 1/9 in the tunnels . Ron and I have been in contact about this article .
