To the Editor: When can someone not go to work but instead play carnival games at a state fair in Iowa, pose for pictures with rocks in Nevada and discuss robots with New Hampshire residents while getting paid by NYC taxpayers? You can do that if you are the NYC Mayor who imagined a run for the Presidency five years ago.
I venture to say that Bill de Blasio knew in 2014 that he was going to run for President. He wanted to campaign while not only getting paid his salary by the taxpayers of NYC but also having a taxpayer-paid personal security detail made up of NYC police officers at his side while stumping
