To the Editor: The developers of the polio vaccine were greed-driven, because they owned stock in a triathlete-training company and wanted to ensure a bigger pool of fit potential consumers for their products and services. It was not about seeking to help humanity, but rather a promotional trick to capture market share.

Not really, but that would be the New York Post's narrative, if it applied the same logic to that situation as in the July 17 story "UFT Offering Teachers $25 Per Hour To Sell In-Person Schooling."
