To the Editor: The testimony of the four police officers who battled the traitors who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 was emotional and compelling, and—totally supported by video—proved beyond all doubt that the Republican congressional deniers are baldfaced liars.
All members of Congress known or suspected of encouraging and collaborating with the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers and the rest of the insurrectionists must be subpoenaed and forced to testify, or take the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination, or be held in contempt of Congress. There is no confidentiality protection for those who attempted to overturn the election and destroy our democracy.
