To the Editor: As our economy continues to grow for a record-breaking 10 years and two months, now is the time for the NY Police Benevolent Association to commence a program of political activism requesting the New York City government allocate funding for market-rate wages for our underpaid New York Police Department.
However, the required activism is very time sensitive, as NYC tax receipts have already started to decrease. Hence, it is best if the city government allocates funding prior to the next economic downturn or the window of opportunity for market-rate wages will be over!
